This is an object created for a Japanese restaurant in Nishi-Gotanda, Tokyo.

I designed and created a natural object to be placed over an existing circular wooden object.

The inspiration for this piece came from Okakura Tenshin's

"The Book of Tea."

"The true essence of things lies solely in their emptiness."
